Digital Communications Officer to Civil Rights Defenders in Stockholm

About the role

As Digital Communications Officer you will be responsible for planning, scheduling and creating content for our social media channels and work with the ongoing maintenance of our website, together with your communications team members. 

You will also develop content adapted to our target groups, with the goal of increasing knowledge about and creating engagement for civil and political rights and take the digital lead in our autumn campaign.

The Digital Communications Officer reports to the Communications Director.  

In this role you will have the duties to:

  • Lead the work with the digital parts of our autumn campaign
  • Manage our digital content plan and publishing calendar
  • Perform ongoing maintenance of and content production for the web
  • Produce content for social media channels, including text, images and moving images, as well as provide support for other communication officers
  • Monitor social media activities, handle comments and interact with our followers and other stakeholders
  • Handle social media advertising
  • Report statistics from web and social media channels and follow up on digital campaigns

About you

To be suitable for this role you have: 

  • At least three years of experience working as a content creator for web and social media, producing texts, images and moving materials
  • Experience of analysing and follow-up statistic using analytic tools
  • Experience of working with external suppliers
  • Good knowledge of social media advertising
  • Ability to produce clear, well-structured, detailed text on complex subjects in English and Swedish
  • Great skills in WordPress, the Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite and video editing for social media 
  • Great skills in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word)

About the employment

This is a full-time substitute employment starting in the beginning of August 2021, or according to agreement, and ending in March 2022. Good possibilities for prolonged engagement.
